Queer Love Lounge

The Lounge Method · ten free cards

Ten cards for the things worth saying out loud.

Every card names the moment you would reach for it, asks you one question about yourself, and then shows you what an answer could sound like said out loud. That last part is the bit nobody prints.

Knowing what you feel is not the hard bit. Getting it across the room is.

Pull up a chair · Find the miss · Reach again

Ten cards, and nothing has to be finished in one go.

Each one comes from the Lounge Method: noticing what arrived, naming what took over, pausing without disappearing, and reaching again. Some are for the hard moments. Some are for the good ones you’d like more of.

Pass is on every card, not buried in the rules. Keep the ones that land, put the rest back, and come again another week.

These cards are for ordinary relationship conflict. They are not a tool for coercive control, intimidation, threats, stalking, sexual pressure or violence. If someone is using them to press you, put them down.

Pass is a whole answer. So is “I cannot find it in my body”, and so is not tonight. Nobody has to earn their way out of a card.

The ten

Read the question. Then turn it over.

Every card has a second side. That is where the words go.

How to use them

No rules to learn. A few that help.

Start with the one that fits

Read all ten and pick the moment you recognise. There is no order and nothing to win.

Answer for yourself first

Every question is about you, not about them. That is on purpose. It keeps the card a reach, not a verdict.

Say it, write it, or take it away

Not everyone thinks out loud. Write the answer instead, or take the card and bring it back tomorrow.

Bring it to a session

Keep the ones that landed. They are the fastest way into a first conversation with me, and they save you the summarising.

The printable

Take them off the screen.

All ten cards are free to read here. If you’d like them on paper, the printable set comes by email, with blank cards for the ones only you need. Print it, cut it, keep it somewhere you’ll see it.

If a card keeps coming back, that is worth an hour. The free intro call is 15 minutes, it is for all of you, and there is no obligation to go further. It is also where we check that this is the right room for what is happening, which matters more than any card.

The booking page opens in a new tab. Choose Free 15 minute intro call, or Couples counselling, first session ($240, 90 minutes).
